About Bwindi Forest Camp
Bwindi Forest Camp is perched on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to roughly half the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Eight elevated tents peer into the dense forest canopy, with the calls of L'Hoest's monkeys and Great Blue Turacos providing the morning soundtrack. The camp is a 15-minute walk from the Buhoma gorilla trekking trailhead — one of four sectors in Bwindi where gorilla permits are issued. After the trek, guests can visit the local Batwa pygmy community or explore forest trails rich in birdlife.
