Days10 Days

Day 1: Windhoek - Etosha National Park

In the morning, our guide driver will pick you up from Windhoek and drive you to North via Okahandja, the former tribal centre of the Herero people, Otjiwarongo and Outjo to the famous Etosha National Park. First game viewing drive.

  • Main destination:  Etosha National Park
  • Accommodation: Taleni Etosha Village/ Toshari Lodge or similar
  • Meals & drinks: Dinner only. Meals include drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 2: Etosha National Park

On the second day, you’ll have a full day of game viewing in the Etosha National Park which is one of the major sanctuaries of wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size of the park is 22.270km² and it consists mainly of grass and bush savannah. This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. The Etosha Pan which the park is named after is approximately 6. 000km² in size. In the language of the Ovambo people, Etosha means “place of dry water” or “large white place”.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

Another game viewing day is spent in the Etosha National Park. In the late afternoon, you leave the park and continue to a lodge just outside the park.

Day 4: Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary

After breakfast, we’ll drive you to Tsumeb and visit the Mine Museum. Proceed via Otjiwarongo to the Mt. Etjo Safari Lodge. Situated in the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most scenic parts of Namibia you can come into close contact with nature itself. Hundreds of species of birds and mammals can be sighted here, incl. elephant, black and white rhino, giraffe and numerous antelope, ranging from the majestic kudu to the diminutive Damara dik-dik. Predators, such as lion, leopard and cheetah also roam this area. In the late afternoon game drive.

  • Accommodation: Mt. Etjo Safari Lodge or similar.
  • Meals & drinks: Bed & Breakfast only. Meals include drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 5: Return to Windhoek

Return to Windhoek via Okahandja. Arrival in Windhoek in the afternoon.

  • You’ll be dropped off at the airport (or hotel).
